If your family is looking for something new and fun to try near Lake Murray, BoHo Links in Chapin is definitely worth adding to your list! This newly opened golf center has a little bit of everything—mini golf, a par 3 course, a driving range, and even a restaurant on-site—making it an easy spot to spend a full afternoon or evening together.
We were among the first to check it out after the mini golf grand opening, and it was such a fun experience for both kids and adults!
What You’ll Find at BoHo Links
BoHo Links is a 33-acre property that’s been completely transformed from the former Lake Murray Golf Center, which had been closed since 2021. What used to be an overgrown space has been brought back to life with a fresh, family-friendly feel—and it’s still growing with new updates happening regularly.

- Mini Golf Course (Putt-Putt) – Newly opened and super fun for all ages
- Par 3 Golf Course – Great for beginners or a quick round
- Driving Range – Now with TVs installed in the bays
- 19th Hole Café – Restaurant and bar on-site

It’s clear this place is designed to be more than just golf—it’s a spot for families to hang out, relax, and make memories together.
Our Mini Golf Experience
We had such a great time playing the mini golf course! Our group of five (including three kids ages 7–14) took about 1.5 hours to complete the course. Smaller groups will likely move through faster, while families with younger kids may want to plan for a little extra time.
And yes… we even scored a hole-in-one on one of the toughest holes! 🎉
A few helpful things to know:
- Scorecards, pencils, clubs, and balls are available inside the restaurant building
- You’ll also pay for mini golf inside the building before heading out
- There is a nice amount of shade about halfway through the course, which is perfect timing during warmer days
Tips for Visiting with Kids
BoHo Links is very family-friendly, but here are a few tips to make your visit even smoother:
- Bring water, especially in the summer months
- Bug spray is a good idea, since part of the course is near wooded areas
- Wear comfortable shoes—you’ll be walking for a while
- Keep an eye on little ones toward the last few holes, which are near railroad tracks (a safe distance away, but worth noting for kids who like to wander)
