Art Summer Camps: Columbia, SC

Say “hooray” to the most flexible Summer Camp around! At Kids Garden, weekly camps are structured so you can sign up for the days and times that work best for your family – be it several weeks, select days or even just a few hours at a time. We invite you to join us from June 10th through July 26th for our Highlander Day Camps, or your choice of more than 100 specialty camps in arts, athletics, academics, and more for ages 2 through 12th grade. Chesterbrook Academy’s Summer Camp has many activities to keep your child excited and engaged, including field trips, sports, STEM projects, arts and crafts, music, dance, and drama. Full Day Camp is available for rising 1st-5th graders. There’s also a Kindergarten Enrichment program for rising Kindergarteners. The Summer Enhancements Program is for ages 1-4.

Full-day and partial-day camps on a variety of topics including arts, sports, STEM, engineering, and academics.

Shandon Weekday’s Summer Discovery Program has full and part day options, one-week camps or all summer long.

Birthday Parties: Parties for ages 7 and up that include all materials, prep, and clean-up. There are a wide variety of crafts to choose from and everyone goes home with the project they have made.

Summer Camp: ages 6-17 – 4 day morning summer camps, afternoon camps, 1 day camps – Each week is a different project and crafting focus. Complete various different projects like tie-dye, string art, pillows, dream catchers, and more. Be sure to look them up to see which camp is the best fit for you.

Learn to use the pottery wheel with structured pottery lessons. Campers will create various projects during the week-long camp.

First Baptist Columbia has several summer camps for kids ages 4-18. Activities and camps revolve around sports, arts, music, and dance to make sure all interests are accounted for.

Saint Joseph Catholic School offers a summer camp to current Saint Joseph students (rising 5K through 6th grade). Campers will take part in field trips, water play, music, arts and crafts, games, exercise and sports, and imaginative play.

Fine Art and Pottery studio

Classes: Art classes for kids and teens, adult classes, family events, and private art lessons.

Camps: Offers summer art camp, both half-day and full-day, pottery wheel camp, and teen camps.

After School: After-school program with pickup for all District 5 schools. After school helps with homework assistance and math tutoring.

Camp Burnt Gin is an overnight summer camp for children and teens with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses. DHEC operates the camp. Camp days are filled with various activities including arts and crafts, sports and games, swimming and boating, talent shows, campfire, and more.

Classes: Mud Club, art classes for kids after school.

Summer Camps: Mad Platter offers camps for young kids ages 3-6 and older kids age 7 and up.

Heathwood Hall offers a wide variety of summer camps for kids and teens including early childhood options, camps for teens, science, art, sports, and chess camps.

Camp Chatuga is a traditional overnight summer camp for children ages 6 to 16 years old. Camp lengths vary from 1-4 weeks. Activities include horseback riding, water-skiing, BMX bikes, arts and crafts, archery, animal care, and so much more!

Birthday Parties: Birthday packages include all-day admission for guests and 180 minutes in a private party room.

Summer Camp: Summer Camps exist to ignite curiosity, discovery, and adventure in children ages 4-10. Camps are open to the public, and there are a variety of camps to choose from. Space is limited, and all campers must be potty-trained.

Kids ages 5 – 16 can enjoy painting, drawing, pottery, and more with the City of Columbia Kids Art Camps at the Columbia Art Center. They have themed weeks such as Farm Fun, Magical Creature Fun, Swimming in Your Brain, and so much more! Check out their website for more information!

The Columbia Museum of Art has a small play area for children. Visiting the rest of the museum does require admission, but they offer several programs for kids and youth.

Summer Camp: The Columbia Museum of Art has a variety of summer camps for ages 4-18. Camps center around encouraging your child to be creative and imaginative. Register early; many of their camps are known for selling out.

Girls Rock Columbia is a week-long day camp where campers learn to play an instrument, form a band, write an original song, and at the end of the week, perform at a concert in a live music venue for the community. Camp is open to ages 8-17. Stay tuned for 2024 summer camp information.

The SC State Museum has four floors of changing and permanent exhibits, a planetarium, a 4D interactive theater, and plenty of places for kids to play and explore indoors. The museum offers year-round programming and events to suit every learner.

Girls Scouts of South Carolina Mountains to Midlands is offering several summer camps for girls. Girls entering 1st-6th grades are invited to the Day Camp at The Cathy Novinger Girl Scout Leadership Center in Columbia.
