Ian Brings Closings and eLearning Across South Carolina

Is your child’s school on eLearning or closed Friday, September 30th due to Hurricane Ian’s trek through South Carolina? Here is our growing list of school changes for Friday as well as other local businesses and farms closed this weekend because of the storm.

Business Closures

Roper Mountain Science Center – no Afternoon Explorations or Starry Night events

No corn maze and hayrides at Strawberry Hill Farm this weekend (the bakery is open)

YMCA of Greenville: No full-day childcare, or Afterschool programming will be offered; All programs (youth sports, swim lessons/swim academy, dance classes, RECESS, etc.) are cancelled.

All trails at the Lake Conestee Nature Preserve will be closed starting on Friday until further notice.

Stewart Farms is closed until Sunday. Everything except the wagon rides will be open on Sunday.

The Children’s Museum of the Upstate in both Greenville & Spartanburg will be closed on Friday, Sept. 30.

Kroc Center: Kroc Kids will be closed Friday, September 30, with the facility also closing at 4 pm.

Stumphouse Tunnel and park are closed starting Thursday night through Friday. They may open Saturday.

The Greenville Zoo is closed on Friday.

Festivals Canceled or Postponed

Greer Arts & Eats Festival- postponed
Spartanburg International Festival – postponed to 10/15
Aunt Het Festival in Fountain Inn- postponed to 10/8
Charlotte Renaissance Festival will not open 10/1, they hope to open 10/2
NOMA Square Oktoberfest- postponed to 10/8
Greenville Walk to End Alzheimer’s – postponed to 10/16
