250th Independence Day Celebration
Join the Town of Lexington for our 250th Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 3rd at the Icehouse Amphitheater!
The evening begins at 6 PM with food trucks, desserts, drinks, face painting, balloon animals, and opportunities to visit with the Lexington County Museum and Lexington 250th Commission.
Step back into the Revolutionary era at 6PM with:
Historian Dean Hunt sharing key American Revolution events that took place in Lexington County
Robert Ryal portraying Rev. William Martin, a backcountry preacher who boldly spread the message of liberty in the 1770s
Actors’ Theatre presenting a reading of South Carolina’s Declaration of Separation, featuring Captain Henry Felder and Revolutionary War heroine Rebecca Motte
Live music begins shortly after 7 PM
Fireworks light up the sky at 9:20 PM
